The AgentX Real Estate journey started back in 2010 when Robert Petelinek a highly successful local real estate professional in Berwick decided to go at it alone & open up his very own real estate business.
Then having been in real estate for 8 years & enjoying a highly successful real estate career in Berwick working for a local franchise real estate business where Robert was the number one agent year after year & within the top 10 agents in Victoria for the group winning many prestigious awards throughout the years.
Thought the time had come & it was time to leave all the politics behind & set out and take the huge leap & open up his very own real estate business.
Armed with a huge successful reputation of being one of the best real estate agents in Berwick, a huge client list of past sales, a large & trusted following and a massive determination to make it all work.
AgentX Real Estate was born & opened its doors officially on the 1stJune 2011.
Why AgentX? Well obviously it was hard for many people to pronounce Robert's surname of Petelinek, so Petelinek Real Estate went out the door right away, plus nearly every real estate business having someone surname attached to it Robert wanted it to be different & not just about him.
He wanted something modern, new age & ahead of its time, something that would stand out & something that people would talk about. After many ideas being thrown around “Agent” was the choice as it represented who they were, real estate agents. Wanting something symbolic & bold and the ‘X’ was the ‘in thing’ at the time for many businesses it also represented the 4 key values that were created for the business that when joined together in the middle of the X as arrows pointing together as one joined that just created the perfect fit.
So ‘AgentX Real Estate’ it was & was born.
Having no physical office at first, the initial vision was to create a real estate business that was mobile & paperless and didn’t have the huge fixed & expensive overheads that of many of his local competitors. Initially the office was a spare bedroom at Robert's home where AgentX Real Estate officially began.
Being one of the first or if not the first type of local real estate business that didn’t have the traditional shop front office, window displays etc & operating out of a spare bedroom as mobile real estate agents, everyone was expecting Robert to fail, that nobody would want to use a business like this, the real estate market was one of the toughest markets in many years, the expectation was from many that the business would fail within the first 6 months.
Month after month listings & sales were happening at AgentX Real Estate people trusted Robert to sell their homes, they saw the determination, the hard work & the want to excel to strive to get the best possible results for his clients. The word had got around and AgentX Real Estate was setting new records month after month with home owners listing their homes & achieve great successful sales results.
Referrals & recomendations from past clients kept coming in & the business was getting bigger & bigger & Robert realised AgentX Real Estate had outgrown the spare bedroom office and moved to their first corporate office in Narre Warren.
With the business still growing year after year & the AgentX Real Estate’s reputation growing stronger it was time to expand the business to include property management
AgentX Real Estate property management was born in 2014. With the opening of property management, the decision was made to move to their newer & bigger office premises located at 66 Victor Crescent Narre Warren where they are currently today.
Now almost 12 years since the first idea & vision was created by Robert, AgentX Real Estate are highly successful real estate agents serving the local south eastern suburbs. With a growing team & offering property sales, property management, commercial office leasing & more. Roberts dream of a successful real estate business built by trust & results with the same passion from day one is continuing year after year with no end in sight.
